Builders Matakana | Friendly Build and Fix
Friendly Build & Fix was started by us, Joh and Dani, a husband-and-wife team who believe building should be a far more enjoyable and stress-free experience than most people expect. We use the name Builders Matakana online to make it easy for locals to discover the Friendly Build & Fix team and the great work we do across the Matakana Coast, Omaha, Snells Beach, Leigh, and more.
Joh’s journey with building began on the family farm, where he worked alongside his dad and discovered the satisfaction of hands-on work. He later trained as a joiner and cabinetmaker, developing a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship. After some time in the corporate world, he realised that creating and building things that last is what truly brings satisfaction. Whether it’s renewing an old deck, designing custom tables, or overseeing a full renovation, Joh brings the same careful, no-shortcuts approach to every project.
Dani is the organiser and communicator, keeping everything on track and making sure clients are always in the loop. Her focus ensures projects run smoothly and that the experience feels calm, clear, and simple, never stressful.
